Zelensky arrives in Canada for talks on Ukraine’s resilience
During his visit to Canada, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, with the talks expected to focus primarily on protecting Ukraine’s skies, preparing for the winter, and strengthening the country’s resilience.
The head of state announced this on Telegram, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
“Arrived in Canada. Canada has been and remains one of our closest partners. We value all the support from Canadians and the decisions that help Ukraine stand strong and protect our people,” Zelensky said.
He noted that a number of important meetings and agreements are planned in Canada “that will shape our cooperation and solidify the already strategic level of our relationship for years to come.”
Zelensky is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Mark Carney.
“The main focus will be on supporting Ukraine in protecting our skies and preparing for the winter. We will discuss how to strengthen our resilience, support our people, and ensure that Ukraine has the capabilities it needs to defend itself,” the President said.
According to Zelensky, the First Lady also has meetings planned with philanthropists supporting Ukraine, as well as a visit to Canadian counterparts of Ukraine’s Schools of Superheroes.
“Thank you to everyone who stands with Ukraine,” Zelensky wrote.
As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Canada for a three-day visit.
