ATA, Kazinform sign MoU to strengthen news cooperation
The Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA) is expanding its network of partnerships with international news agencies, opening new channels for news exchange and broader coverage of global developments.
As part of the effort, ATA has recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Kazakhstan’s international news agency Kazinform, part of the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, CE Report quotes ATA.
The agreement was signed by ATA Director General Valbona Zhupa and Raushan Kazhibayeva, Director of the TV and Radio Complex of the Kazakh President.
The memorandum provides for the exchange of news, photographs and other media content, as well as joint coverage of political, economic, cultural and sporting events at the local and international level.
ATA Director General Valbona Zhupa said the agreement with Kazinform marks another step towards strengthening ATA’s international cooperation and expanding the reach of Albanian news and information, delivered with professionalism and credibility.
“Through this partnership, we aim to build new communication bridges between our two countries and provide audiences with accurate, verified and direct information on developments in Albania and Kazakhstan,” she added.
Zhupa underlined that cooperation with major international news agencies was particularly important at a time when disinformation and fake news were creating a growing need for reliable and professional sources of information.
For the Kazakhstan President’s Television and Radio Complex, one of the country’s leading media organizations, which provides comprehensive information support for the activities of the Head of State and coverage of the most significant socio-political developments in the country and the region, this partnership contributes to strengthening its presence in the global information space.
“Developing international ties is one of the priorities for the President’s Television and Radio Complex. Through partnerships with reputable agencies, we can provide objective and verified information to a global audience. The agreement with ATA opens fresh opportunities for joint work and strengthens communication channels between our countries,” she said.
The memorandum also provides for professional support for journalists, the exchange of experience and the development of a foundation for long-term cooperation, in addition to joint coverage of events.
