Türkiye, Kazakhstan to expand defense industry cooperation

Haluk Görgün, head of Türkiye’s Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB), said that cooperation in the defense industry is one of the key areas of relations between Türkiye and Kazakhstan.

Emphasizing the importance of defense industry cooperation between the two countries, Görgün said they would diversify and deepen areas of collaboration based on a win-win approach.

Görgün shared his remarks on social media regarding Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s visit to Türkiye, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency.

He said he had attended the meetings hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for Tokayev and his accompanying delegation.

“Cooperation in the defense industry is one of the key areas of our relations with Kazakhstan. Through steps taken in line with our president’s vision, Türkiye has developed a mature defense industry ecosystem over the past quarter-century, offering competitive products and policies that support joint production. This makes Türkiye a reliable partner that takes a long-term approach to defense industry cooperation.

“We will diversify and deepen our areas of cooperation with our friendly and brotherly country, Kazakhstan, based on a win-win approach. We see every step that brings together the expertise and experience of our two countries as a valuable contribution to the security and prosperity of the Turkic world,” Görgün said.
