NATO delegation visits Albania’s Port of Durrës

The Port of Durrës welcomed a high-level NATO delegation led by the Commander of NATO’s Allied Joint Force Command Naples, accompanied by representatives of the Albanian Armed Forces and Commander of the Naval Force, Rear Admiral Arsen Mullaj.

The delegation was received by Andrea Shllaku, Deputy Director General of the Durrës Port Authority, and Dritan Prifti, Port Security Officer, CE Report informs via Port of Durrës' official website.

During the visit, NATO representatives were briefed on the Port of Durrës’s handling capacities, services and infrastructure, as well as the strategic importance of the NATO Naval Base in Porto Romano for regional security and logistics.

The visit placed particular emphasis on the strategic role of the Port of Durrës and the NATO Naval Base in Porto Romano in supporting Corridor VIII, mobility and cooperation with Euro-Atlantic structures.

The meeting reaffirmed Durrës’s importance as a key hub for transport, logistics and regional security, as well as its role in strengthening cooperation with NATO.
