Bosnia declares Serbia’s military attaché, BIA adviser persona non grata

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Foreign Minister Elmedin Konaković said in Sarajevo that he has declared Serbia’s military attaché Milan Dulanović and adviser to the BIA representative Darko Maksimović persona non grata, giving them 48 hours to leave Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“We call on the diplomatic corps not to engage in any form of diplomatic communication or cooperation with these individuals,” Konaković said.

He added that consent had been withdrawn for a joint declaration on good-neighbourly relations and regional cooperation that was due to be signed in Montenegro, saying that such documents cannot be signed while Serbia remains as it is currently acting, CE Report quotes FENA.

Konaković said he appreciated the European Commission’s revised statement, but questioned why attention was again focused on a few individuals while avoiding directly naming the person he considers most responsible for events in Serbia — Aleksandar Vučić.

He added that he has the right to decide on the staffing structure of the Serbian Embassy in Sarajevo and that he is currently reviewing the relevant material, which he will discuss with his advisers in the coming days.

“We will see how many people are actually needed for the functioning of the Serbian Embassy in Sarajevo. Nothing else matters anymore — no economic, social or administrative process is more important than what Serbia is currently doing to Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Konaković stressed.
