Electric buses serving tourists in Albania's Berat
The streets and the castle of Berat (Albania) are buzzing this tourist season with both local and foreign visitors who are getting a closer look at the history of this museum city.
Despite the high temperatures in recent days, the flow of tourists is felt throughout the over 2,500-year-old city, CE Report quotes ATA.
To ease tourist movement, the Municipality of Berat has provided three electric buses, two ‘buggies’, and six charging stations.
These vehicles are part of the municipal logistics that support the movement of visitors along the city’s tourist and urban routes.
“In the city, three electric buses, two buggies, and six charging stations have been installed, which will serve tourists visiting Berat’s tourist spots, ensuring less pollution and greater comfort for visitors,” the municipality emphasized.
This is a project of the Municipality of Berat, made possible through funding from the World Bank via the Albanian Development Fund, and marks an important step toward a greener and more welcoming city for all.
