Ivanka Trump, the daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump, has revealed more details about the project on Sazan Island, describing it as one of the biggest and most exciting challenges of her professional life.

In an interview on David Senra’s podcast, Ivanka Trump shared new details about the tourism development project that she and her husband, Jared Kushner, plan to undertake on Sazan Island, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Trump spoke about her first impressions of a boat trip in the Ionian Sea that eventually led to the project, describing the landscape as “extraordinary” and “unforgettable.”

According to her, the idea for potential investments in the area developed over several years, with the goal of carefully and responsibly unlocking its natural potential.

“Any architectural intervention must be carried out with complete respect for the environment, integrating organically with nature, almost as if it were part of it,” Ivanka Trump said.

Speaking about the project, Trump explained that she has reached a stage in her life where she understands what motivates and inspires her professionally. Alongside investments in transformative industries such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, neurotechnology, robotics, and space exploration, she has also returned to her roots in real estate development.

She described the Sazan project as a massive undertaking centered on a private island of approximately 1,400 acres in the Mediterranean. She recalled discovering the island while swimming ashore from a friend's yacht and hiking barefoot to its summit.

“We were simply amazed,” she said. “That place stayed with us from that moment on.”

Over the years, she and Kushner explored opportunities to help realize the island’s potential while preserving its natural beauty.

“The land is so beautiful that the architecture must fully integrate with it, almost as if it emerges from the landscape itself,” she said.

In addition to the island, the project includes five miles of nearby coastline and a peninsula featuring a lagoon on one side and the sea on the other, with white sandy beaches.

For Trump, the project represents more than a business venture.

“It feels more like a challenge than anything else,” she said. “It is the culmination of all my experience in real estate, all my travels, and years of reflection about how I want to live and how I believe people increasingly want to live.”

She said the goal is to create a tangible expression of that vision, working alongside some of the world's leading architects and designers.

Trump emphasized the importance of collaborating with professionals who refuse to compromise on quality or artistic integrity.

“When you work with true artists, regardless of their medium, they do not compromise,” she said. “Their integrity is precise and absolute.”

She also highlighted the importance of combining architectural beauty with practicality.

“There is nothing uglier than a beautiful but dysfunctional space,” she said. “When you can combine something architecturally meaningful, beautiful, and purposeful with a highly functional environment, then you have created something special.”

Trump noted that one of the aspects she loves most about real estate is its tangible and lasting nature. She reflected on her involvement in restoring the Old Post Office building in Washington, D.C., transforming it from a deteriorated property into a thriving urban hotel.

She said the most rewarding part of development is not simply seeing the finished project, but hearing stories from people who celebrate important life events in spaces she helped create.

“You are building the stage where people’s lives unfold and where their dreams come true,” she said.

“And that is exactly what we will do with this project, Sazan.”
