New direct flight to connect Sarajevo, Bratislava

H.E. Roman Hloben, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Marian Maras, Economic Diplomat at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic, visited Sarajevo International Airport, where they met with Acting Director Dino Selimović and Melika Hadžimešić-Kasalo, an airport services specialist at Sarajevo International Airport.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Slovak Republic, with particular emphasis on strengthening air connectivity, tourism exchanges and economic relations between the two countries, CE Report informs via the Sarajevo International Airport's official Facebook page.

Particular attention was paid to the new direct air route between Sarajevo and Bratislava, which, starting on December 3, 2026, will establish a direct air connection between the capitals of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia for the first time.

The route is expected to create new opportunities for the development of tourism, business cooperation and cultural exchange, while further strengthening ties between the citizens of the two friendly countries.
