Kosovo records rise in domestic, foreign tourism

The number of visitors to Kosovo increased in 2025 compared to the previous year, according to data published by the Kosovo Agency of Statistics (ASK).

According to the agency's hospitality and tourism survey, a total of 762,836 domestic and foreign visitors were recorded during 2025. Of these, 39.3% were domestic visitors, while 60.7% were foreign tourists, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The total number of overnight stays reached 1,653,390. Of this figure, 45.4% were generated by domestic visitors and 54.6% by foreign visitors.

ASK reported that the number of domestic visitors increased by 9.1% compared to 2024, while their overnight stays rose by 8%.

The growth was also evident among foreign tourists. During 2025, the number of foreign visitors increased by 9.4% compared with the previous year, reaching 463,092 people. The largest numbers of foreign tourists came from Albania, Germany, Switzerland, and Türkiye.

The data also show that during 2025, 639,945 residents of Kosovo made at least one trip involving an overnight stay either within the country or abroad.

Meanwhile, according to statistics collected at border crossing points, a total of 7,465,625 entries by foreign citizens were registered in Kosovo between January and December 2025.
