Berat invites travelers to explore its rich history, from the fortified Berat Castle and the iconic Gorica and Mangalem museum quarters to the fascinating Onufri and Ethnographic museums.
Renowned as a UNESCO site, Berat features well-preserved Ottoman homes, mystical religious sites, and a dramatic setting along the Osum River. Its crown jewel is the Berat Castle, a striking Roman-era fortress atop a rocky hill that offers panoramic views of the city.
