Marta Kos will pay an official visit to Moldova from June 4 to June 6. Her program includes participation in the first EU–Moldova Investment Conference, the opening of the Moldova Digital Summit 2026, and visits to several local communities across the country, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.
“We are coming with progress in Moldova’s accession process, opening new investment opportunities, engaging with young mayors, honoring the country’s traditions, and uniting Moldova through dialogue with the opposition and critical voices,” Marta Kos said.
According to the Delegation of the European Union to Moldova, on June 4 Commissioner Kos will open the EU–Moldova Investment Conference, focused on economic opportunities and the European Union’s Growth Plan for Moldova — a key instrument for mobilizing investment, supporting the economy, and modernizing the country.
On the same day, at 12:00 p.m., Commissioner Kos will hold a joint press conference with Maia Sandu.
On June 5, the Commissioner will participate in the opening of Moldova Digital Summit 2026, an event dedicated to digital transformation and Moldova’s integration into the European technological space. She will also meet with mayors from several regions of the country.
On June 6, Commissioner Kos will conclude her visit with trips outside Chișinău, including visits to Marta and Maria Monastery and a family farm in Slobozia-Dusca, where she will discuss traditions, rural development, and Moldova’s European path with local communities.
