Experts Share Tips for Choosing Christmas Trees and Holiday Decorations

Moldova

Experts have issued guidelines for selecting artificial Christmas trees and winter decorations, focusing on safe purchasing, proper placement, and accident prevention, particularly for homes with children, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Tatiana Frunza, Head of Consumer and Business Environment Information at the State Non-Food Product Supervision Authority, advised ensuring that artificial trees have stable, straight bases to support their weight.

Buyers should follow manufacturers' instructions for tree placement and request a written guarantee certificate if the tree comes with a long-term warranty. Keeping the receipt is also crucial for any potential claims.

For those opting for natural trees, the Moldsilva Agency has made over 46,000 conifers available for sale since December 2. Experts recommend watering natural trees with sweetened water and placing them away from heat sources to keep them fresh throughout the holiday season.
