Jean-Philippe Mateta Hails historic Palace victory

Jean-Philippe Mateta of Crystal Palace said he wants to fully enjoy the celebrations after winning the UEFA Europa Conference League. The striker played a key role in the club’s triumph in Europe’s third-tier club competition, CE Report quotes BTA.

“I feel fantastic, we did it! For the first time in Europe, we did it! Now I just want to celebrate, I just want to party. It’s unbelievable. We did everything. I told you about the intensity we would bring. Right now I’m tired. I gave everything I had,” Mateta said, quoted by UEFA’s official website.

He also paid tribute to the loud Palace supporters who traveled to the Red Bull Arena Leipzig in Leipzig.

“I’m always with them. They support me a lot as a player, they support us as a team too. They are always behind us and we did the same for them,” added the goalscorer in Palace’s 1-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano in the final.
