Bad Bunny look-alike contest turns into street party in San Francisco
A Bad Bunny look-alike contest at a restaurant in San Francisco turned into a street party after hundreds of fans of the global star showed up to support him and sing his music ahead of his Super Bowl appearance this weekend.
More than 30 contestants from the Bay Area took part, including men with curls, women wearing wigs and fake beards, as well as a child in a fedora, jacket and tie, all competing for a $100 prize in a packed restaurant. The contestants imitated the Puerto Rican singer’s style by wearing “pava” hats and aviator-style caps, and recreated well-known elements from his music, including twerking and political messages such as “ICE Out,” CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
According to AP, the big winner was Abdul Ramirez Arroyave, a professional impersonator from Colombia, who wore a red shirt and straw hat and sang along with the crowd to the song “Debí Tirar Más Fotos.” The event was organized by Mission Loteria, and celebrations continued outside the restaurant with a DJ and costumes inspired by Bad Bunny’s music videos.
