Bulgaria launches new Bethub Pro Cup football tournament

The Bulgarian Football Union (BFU) and the Bulgarian Professional Football League (BPFL) are launching the Bethub Pro Cup, a new tournament bringing together eight leading Bulgarian football clubs in a knockout competition for the trophy, the BFU reported.

The inaugural edition will feature Levski, CSKA, CSKA 1948, Botev Plovdiv, Lokomotiv Plovdiv, Cherno More, Arda and Botev Vratsa, CE Report quotes BTA.

The Bethub Pro Cup will be played in a knockout format comprising four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final. A total of seven matches will determine the competition’s first trophy winner.

The BFU will officially present the new competition on September 15. Details of the format, rules and organization will be announced at a special event, followed by the draw for the quarter-final matches.
