The renowned Italian actress Ornella Muti, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, spoke about her work, private life, relationships, and experiences, revisiting key moments of her life on the occasion of the release of her autobiography “Questa non è Ornella Muti”.

The actress, who turned 70 last March, has always attached great importance to love—a topic she devoted considerable attention to during her interview with Candida Morvillo—recalling significant relationships, including those with Maranello businessman Luca di Montezemolo and actor Adriano Celentano, CE Report quotes ATA.

The romance with Luca di Montezemolo

“I’ve always ‘armed’ my enemies. With all my cheerfulness, among other things, I told them: Take it, I give you the sword of fire,” she says laughing.

“I’ve also caused my own chaos. But in love, I believe in healthy love even now,” Ornella Muti emphasizes, revealing that her first boyfriend was Luca di Montezemolo, something she hadn’t publicly shared herself but that had appeared in newspapers.

Montezemolo’s first wife, Sandra Monteleoni, had even uncovered a love letter from them from 40 years ago.

“I was 16. I have wonderful memories of Luca because he was crazy, really crazy: he would suddenly run into the middle of the street and shout, ‘I love you!’ He gave me a wedding ring. It was really funny. I love to laugh. We live only once, and then we always cry afterward.”

Regarding the reasons for their breakup, the actress explained that it ended because “I didn’t know he had another girlfriend, a higher-ranking one. He chose Sandra and then married her.”

The story with Adriano Celentano

Adriano Celentano was another significant man in her love life.

“He told me that we were together, without asking my permission. I would add that it was a short relationship, but a love story. I’ve said it before: I always fall in love when someone is entertaining. And he was, very much. I cheated on my husband at the time, Federico Facchinetti, which was terrible. Maybe I cheated because I was cheated on, but sometimes it’s just an excuse. And then it ended with Adriano. I might have stayed. But it went like this, and it was better this way,” she recounts.

Her film debut

“My debut in film was not easy. I always felt out of place in the world of cinema. My debut was by chance, at the age of 14. I was very shy, but for the film ‘The Most Beautiful Wife’ they paid me a million lire, and my father had passed away: we needed money at home,” she recalls.
