Cardi B drops second album after seven-year wait

American rapper Cardi B has returned after seven years with her second album Am I The Drama?, inspired by a RuPaul’s Drag Race meme.

This is her first full-length record since her debut Invasion of Privacy (2018), and fans have welcomed the comeback of rap’s “Queen of Chaos,” CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The album’s lyrics deal with personal themes such as her divorce from rapper Offset in 2024, his alleged infidelity, and her responsibilities as a wife, while also reflecting on her own choices.

Rolling Stone described the album as “a grand comeback for a queen who never left the throne,” while Clash rated it 7/10, praising her courage and honesty. The lyrics explore the chaos of her life, as well as the personal moments and challenges she has faced.

Cardi B—real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar—has enjoyed a successful career since appearing on the reality show Love & Hip Hop: New York in 2015.

She has three children and recently announced she is expecting her fourth. She was also recently cleared of a lawsuit regarding an alleged assault on a security guard.
