Lyuba Tomova Finalist in Goethe Poster Contest

Bulgarian artist Lyuba Tomova has been selected as a finalist in the 2025 Johann Wolfgang von Goethe International Poster Competition, organized by the German literary department Daarvak. She shared the news on her Facebook profile, CE Report quotes BTA

The Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Berlin also highlighted her achievement, noting her role as curator of the “OBJEKTiv” exhibition of contemporary Bulgarian posters, held at the Institute in March 2025.

According to Cootermag, this year’s competition featured powerful visual reinterpretations of Goethe’s legacy by designers worldwide, making jury selection both inspiring and challenging.

Tomova, a graduate of the National Academy of Arts in Poster Design, co-founded the graphic design studio Poster House. In 2022, she won the top award at the International Triennial of Stage Poster.
