North Macedonia updates on Consumer Price Index
Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in March 2026 in North Macedonia, compared to February 2026, was 0.7%.
In March 2026, compared to February 2026, an increase in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Transport by 3.4%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 3.2%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.6%, Recreation, sport and culture by 0.5%, Education services, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.4%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Information and Communication by 0.2%, Health, Restaurants and accommodation services by 0.1%.
The Consumer Price Index in the group Insurance and financial services remained at the same level as in the previous month, CE Report informs via the State Statistical Office of North Macedonia.
The Retail Price Index in March 2026 compared to February 2026 was 100.9.
The Consumer Price Index in March 2026, compared to March 2025, increased by 4.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 3.4%.
