North Macedonia records 7.6% annual increase in average net wages

In North Macedonia, the average monthly net wage paid per employee in August 2026 was 48 733 denars.

The average monthly net wage paid per employee in August 2026, compared to August 2025, increased by 7.6%, CE Report informs via the State Statistical Office of North Macedonia's official website.

This increase is caused by an increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities by 11.9%, Administrative and support service activities by 10.7%, and Manufacturing by 9.0%.

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to the previous month was recorded in the sectors: Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply by 5.4%, Arts, entertainment and recreation by 5.0% and Administrative and support service activities by 4.2%.
