Kimi Antonelli wins US Grand Prix
Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli won the United States Grand Prix in Austin, moving a step closer to securing the Formula 1 World Drivers’ Championship.
The Italian driver finished ahead of Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc, who took second place, and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen, who completed the podium in third, CE Report quotes ANSA.
However, Lewis Hamilton’s fourth-place finish and George Russell’s eighth-place result prevented Antonelli from clinching the championship at his first opportunity.
Despite missing out on an early title celebration, Antonelli remains within reach of the world championship.
