Croatia reveals salary trends with strong annual wage increase
The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2025 amounted to 1,494 euros, which represented a nominal decrease of 0.3% and a real increase of 0.1%, as compared to November 2025.
The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2025 amounted to 2,087 euros, which represented a nominal decrease of 0.3% and a real increase of 0.1%, as compared to November 2025, CE Report informs via the Croatian Bureau of Statistics.
The average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2025 were 9.8% higher in nominal terms and 6.3% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year.
The average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities in the Republic of Croatia for December 2025 were 11.2% higher in nominal terms and 7.6% higher in real terms, as compared to the same month of the previous year.
The highest average monthly paid net earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for December 2025 were paid in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products and amounted to 2,835 euros, while the lowest earnings were paid in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 942 euros.
The highest average monthly gross earnings per person in paid employment in legal entities for December 2025 were in the activity Manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products and amounted to 4,321 euros, while the lowest earnings were in the activity Manufacture of wearing apparel and amounted to 1,238 euros.
Median net earnings for December 2025 amounted to 1,280 euros, which was 0.2% higher than in November 2025. As compared to the same month of the previous year, they increased by 10.7%.
Median gross earnings for December 2025 amounted to 1,749 euros, which was 0.3% higher than in November 2025. As compared to the same month of the previous year, they increased by 12.2%.
