The strike actions by taxi drivers continue in Greece, with today, Wednesday, February 18, 2026, marking the second day of the strike in Attica, as the sector speaks of open-ended industrial action.

Bus and coach drivers across Greece have also pulled over as of today due to a 48-hour strike (Wednesday and Thursday, February 18 and 19) decided by the Panhellenic Federation, CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.

It is recalled that taxi drivers in Attica have been on strike since the morning of Tuesday, February 17, 2026, until Friday, February 20 at 6:00 a.m., following a decision by the Board of Directors of the Attica Taxi Drivers’ Union (SATA).

Today, taxi drivers in Attica gathered at the junction of Antigoni Street and Athinon Avenue, after which they marched towards Eleftherios Venizelos Airport.
