Bitcoin Hits Record High Above $118K

Bitcoin continued its sharp rally on Friday, reaching an all-time high of $118,239 around 06:10 GMT. The cryptocurrency surged past $113,000 and $115,000 in less than a day, and was trading near $117,820 by 07:00 GMT — up 5.8% on the day, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

The global crypto market value rose by 5.92% in 24 hours to $3.67 trillion, according to Coinmarketcap. Bitcoin has gained nearly 26% since the start of the year. Ethereum also jumped 7%, trading at $2,993.
