Turkey's communications model prioritizes brave, principled journalism that amplifies the voice of the righteous over the powerful, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Friday at the International Strategic Communication Summit 2024 in Istanbul, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency

Erdogan emphasized the nation's efforts to ensure global awareness of events, particularly highlighting Turkey's role in exposing the "massacre committed by Israel since Oct. 7, 2023," through institutions like the Communications Directorate, TRT, and Anadolu Agency.

He also reaffirmed Turkey’s commitment to peace and stability through proactive diplomacy, citing efforts in regions like Karabakh, the Balkans, Syria, and Ukraine. Erdogan described the approach as "solution-oriented" and grounded in respect for humanitarian values.

The president noted that Turkey’s "Century of Türkiye" vision focuses on justice, security, and truth in communication while embracing innovation across various sectors, including economy, culture, foreign policy, and technology.

Erdogan highlighted the challenges posed by artificial intelligence, particularly its role in spreading disinformation and harmful content. He stressed Turkey’s goal to foster a global understanding of AI that prioritizes ethics, human rights, and justice, while investing in training the next generation of technology experts and entrepreneurs.

The StratCom Summit'24 aims to explore global communication strategies amid technological and diplomatic challenges.
