Türkiye, Saudi Arabia lead foreign tourism in Federation of BiH

The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded 182,713 tourist arrivals in July this year, marking an increase of 2.1 percent compared with the same month last year, while the number of arrivals was 33.3 percent higher than in June this year.

Foreign tourists accounted for 79.7 percent of total arrivals, while domestic tourists made up 20.3 percent, CE Report quotes FENA.

At the same time, a total of 386,763 overnight stays were recorded, up 4.1 percent compared with July 2025 and 38.9 percent higher than in June this year. Foreign guests also dominated the structure of overnight stays, accounting for 79.7 percent, while domestic tourists accounted for 20.3 percent.

According to data from the Federal Statistical Office, the largest share of overnight stays, 92.8 percent, was recorded in hotels and similar accommodation facilities.

Among foreign tourists, the highest number of overnight stays was recorded by visitors from Türkiye (13.1 percent), Saudi Arabia (13 percent), Poland (6.1 percent), Croatia (5.6 percent), and Israel (5.3 percent), who together accounted for 43.1 percent of all overnight stays by foreign tourists.

In July, 34,041 beds were available in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 1.9 percent fewer than a year earlier, while the net bed occupancy rate in hotels and similar accommodation facilities stood at 40.5 percent.
