The bazaar in the museum town of Kruja remains one of Albania’s most popular destinations for historical and cultural tourism, attracting local visitors and foreign tourists who include the historic town in their itineraries.

The bazaar offers an authentic glimpse of Albania’s heritage, combining history, traditional crafts, local products and distinctive architecture, CE Report quotes ATA.

Its narrow alleys have been busy with visitors during the summer season, while traditional shops and craft outlets have attracted tourists from around the world.

Tourism, Culture and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja shared images of the bazaar on social media on Wednesday, describing it as “full of life, tradition and Albanian beauty.”

The bazaar is closely linked to Kruja’s identity and, together with Kruja Castle and other historic sites, gives visitors an opportunity to experience Albania’s cultural heritage and traditional crafts.

Kruja, known for its history and association with national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderbeg, remains an important destination for cultural and historical tourism in Albania.

The summer crowds at the bazaar reflect growing tourist interest in destinations that combine history, culture, tradition and an authentic Albanian experience.
