Bulgarian Wine & SPA Hotel joins MICHELIN Guide selection
Wine & SPA Hotel Chukara in Tryavna has been included in the MICHELIN Guide selection as a newly recommended accommodation, which the hotel management describes as recognition of the overall concept and the work of its team to create a memorable experience for guests. The complex combines winemaking, gastronomy, wellness and opportunities for recreation amid the natural surroundings of the Tryavna Balkan.
Among the highlights in the hotel's presentation are its location amid the Balkan Mountains, its proximity to the Revival-era town of Tryavna, its wine identity, gastronomy and the opportunity to enjoy a comprehensive experience in one place.
The hotel features its own winery, a spa area, two restaurants, a zoo area with rescued animals, event spaces and outdoor activities, CE Report quotes BTA.
Following its inclusion in the MICHELIN Guide, the hotel has already seen increased interest, particularly from visitors who follow international tourism platforms and seek more distinctive travel destinations. The selection provides an opportunity both to raise the hotel's profile and to promote Tryavna and the surrounding region, the hotel management said. The hotel's main guests are from Bulgaria, but interest from international visitors has been growing in recent years.
The complex's next long-term goal is to receive a MICHELIN Key. Chukara's management said this is a natural direction for its development, but that they do not want the team's work to be driven solely by a particular distinction. Their priorities remain service quality, gastronomy, the wine concept, the spa service and the overall approach to its guests.
In a series of articles, the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA) is presenting Bulgarian hotels included in the Michelin Guide Hotels selection, which recognizes properties with distinctive character, consistently high quality, a high standard of service and a clear connection to their destination. Recently, nine accommodation establishments received certificates from the Ministry of Tourism for high professional standards, impeccable quality of services and their contribution to strengthening the reputation of Bulgaria as a destination.
"We need to tell the stories of these hotels and show what lies behind their success. In this way, we can encourage more industry representatives to invest in quality, character and experiences, and increase the number of Bulgarian properties recognised on the global stage," Tourism Minister Ilin Dimitrov said on the occasion.
