German embassy praises Albanian rescue teams after saving four nationals
The German Embassy in Albania expressed its gratitude to the Regional Police Directorate of Vlora, local rescue teams and volunteers from the Albanian Alpine and Speleological Rescue Service following two successful rescue operations in recent days.
According to the embassy, four German nationals were safely rescued in the two separate operations, CE Report informs via the German Embassy in Albania's official Facebook page.
Despite difficult terrain, darkness and high temperatures, rescue teams managed to locate both groups of hikers and bring them to safety.
The embassy praised the rescuers for their professionalism, courage and swift response.
It also urged people planning hikes in Albania to carefully prepare their trips, check weather conditions, wear appropriate clothing and carry sufficient water and sun protection.
The embassy further stressed that a reliable GPS device and a fully charged mobile phone can be vital in an emergency, wishing visitors safe journeys and memorable experiences in Albania’s natural landscapes.
