Shkodra is strengthening its position as one of Albania’s leading tourist destinations, with short-term rental activity showing continued growth, Mayor Benet Beci said on Wednesday.

Beci published AirDNA data for July 2026, which he said confirmed the strong performance of tourism in the northern city, CE Report quotes ATA.

The data showed that Shkodra had 1,861 active Airbnb listings and recorded the highest average revenue per listing among the non-coastal tourist cities analysed by the platform.

Average annual revenue per listing reached 4,300 dollars, up 49.8% from a year earlier, while the average occupancy rate stood at 43%. The average nightly rate was 70 dollars.

AirDNA is a global analytics platform providing data and insights on short-term rental markets, including Airbnb properties.

Beci said the figures reflected growing interest in Shkodra as a tourist destination and highlighted the increasingly important contribution of tourism to the local economy.
