For tourists, the journey continues from Lake Koman to the stunning Shala River. This popular destination offers scenic boat rides and fun water activities.
Lake Koman is a stunning fjord-like reservoir on the Drin River in northern Albania, fed by the Shala and Valbona rivers. Stretching 34 kilometers from Koman to Fierzë, the lake nestles between the mountains of Shkodra and Kukës counties. It is remarkable that this wild, beautiful landscape stems from a dam built near Koman village in 1978.
Taking less than three hours, the boat journey from Koman to Fierzë stands out as a premier travel experience in Albania. Cruising the emerald waters reveals breathtaking panoramic views of untouched canyons and towering peaks.
