Slovenian mountain huts face severe water shortages

Mountain huts across Slovenia are once again attracting large numbers of visitors this year. The season, particularly at high-altitude huts, is being marked by a severe shortage of water. In some locations, the situation has become critical, prompting hut managers to ask visitors for understanding and responsible behavior.

The lack of water is creating additional challenges for huts located in remote and high-altitude areas, where supplies are more difficult to replenish. Visitors are therefore being encouraged to use water sparingly and follow the instructions of hut staff, CE Report quotes STA.
