25th Tartini Festival opens in Piran
The 25th Tartini Festival will open this evening in the Slovenian coastal town of Piran with a concert by the Baroque orchestra Savaria from Budapest.
The international summer chamber music festival will run until September 5, bringing together musicians from Slovenia and abroad for a series of performances celebrating classical and chamber music, CE Report quotes STA.
This year’s programme includes 12 concerts, three of which will feature young and junior musicians, giving emerging performers an opportunity to present their talent alongside established artists.
The festival is named after Giuseppe Tartini, the celebrated Italian composer and violinist who was born in Piran in 1692. The event has become an important part of the town’s cultural calendar, combining its historic setting with performances by internationally recognized musicians.
