Bulgaria Air adds flights to Burgas for Eurovision 2027
Bulgaria Air is increasing the number of its flights to Burgas for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, the national carrier said on Tuesday. Between May 2 and 19, 2027, up to two flights a day will operate on the Sofia-Burgas-Sofia route. Afternoon services will be added to the regular evening flights in the days leading up to the contest, providing convenient connections for passengers arriving on international flights at Vasil Levski Sofia Airport.
In the days following the final, the schedule will also include morning flights from Burgas to Sofia to accommodate the expected return traffic and provide onward connections with international flights from the capital.
The adjusted schedule is intended to facilitate travel to Burgas for spectators, guests, media representatives and others planning to visit the Black Sea city during one of the biggest international music events of 2027. Passengers travelling via Sofia will also have access to Bulgaria Air’s international network of more than 20 destinations in Europe and the Middle East, the airline said.
The route will be operated with Airbus A220 aircraft, the newest-generation aircraft in Bulgaria Air’s fleet.
The additional services to Burgas in May 2027 are now available for booking. Tickets can be purchased through Bulgaria Air’s official website and mobile app, at the airline’s offices in Bulgaria and abroad, and through its partner agency network, CE Report quotes BTA.
Burgas will host the Eurovision Song Contest in 2027. The two semi-finals will take place on May 11 and 13, with the Grand Final scheduled for May 15 at Arena Burgas. The city was selected by Bulgarian National Television and the European Broadcasting Union, with the decision announced on August 13.
