Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport of Albania Blendi Gonxhja said that the growing presence and interest of international brands in Albania reflect the country’s potential and growing confidence in further development of its tourism sector.

Referring to the “Future Hospitality Forum”, held in Tirana several days ago, Gonxhja said Albania is entering a new phase in the development of its tourism and hospitality industries, CE Report quotes ATA.

According to the minister, the challenge today goes beyond increasing visitor numbers.

“The goal is for this growth to translate into greater quality, higher standards, professional service, long-term investment and more highly skilled jobs. At the Future Hospitality Forum, we highlighted the importance of investment not only in hotel infrastructure, but also in human capital, as two elements that must go hand in hand,” Gonxhja said.

The minister said he believes now is the time to invest in Albania and work together to build a competitive, high-quality and sustainable tourism sector.
