Time Out names Sarajevo among Europe’s top winter city breaks for 2026
Sarajevo has been named one of Europe’s most beautiful cities for a winter getaway in 2026 by Time Out magazine, which highlights the Bosnian capital as an ideal destination for travellers seeking a different kind of winter experience.
Time Out experts have compiled a list of the best European city breaks for winter 2026, featuring destinations ranging from the Arctic Circle to the Balkans, CE Report quotes FENA.
The list of Europe’s best winter city destinations also includes Zagreb, Paris, Ljubljana, Amsterdam, Tallinn, Tromsø, Edinburgh, Antwerp, Innsbruck and Reykjavik. Time Out experts note that Sarajevo is particularly appealing to visitors thanks to its blend of Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Yugoslav heritage, as well as its proximity to ski resorts in the Olympic mountains.
