Zelensky seeks Erdoğan's help to arrange meeting with Putin

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he is ready to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Türkiye to discuss ending the war. He made the statement during his visit to Ankara, where he said he hoped Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would help organise the meeting, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

“I am ready to meet Putin in Türkiye. I hope Erdoğan will help organise this meeting. I know that President Erdoğan has ties with Putin. That is why we support a meeting in Türkiye,” Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader explained that certain issues could not be resolved at the level of delegations and that direct talks with Putin were necessary, as he was the person who made the final decisions.

Zelensky also reiterated that Ukraine would not give up territories occupied by Russia under any circumstances.

Earlier, the Ukrainian president had said he was willing to discuss the issue of territories with Putin.
