Macedonian family-owned wineries have achieved major success at "Wine Vision by Open Balkan 2026" in Belgrade, Serbia, with four wineries winning a total of five platinum medals, the highest distinction awarded at a wine competition.

The Vranec 2022 wine produced by Peskov Winery was named Best of Show for North Macedonia, highlighting the quality and potential of the country’s wine producers, CE Report informs via the Macedonian Family Wineries' official Facebook page.

The wines were evaluated by five Masters of Wine, who recognised the outstanding quality and potential of small, family-owned wineries at the Wine Trophy 2026 competition.

The results mark a significant achievement for North Macedonia’s family wineries, showcasing their growing potential and the quality of their wines on the regional and international stage.
