Bosnia's Sunce Association adds certified specialist in autism assessment
The Sunce Association in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, now has a certified specialist in the application of the ADOS-2 protocol, an internationally recognised instrument for assessing autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
The association said that ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) is a standardised diagnostic protocol widely regarded as the “gold standard” for assessing communication, social interaction, play and behaviour in individuals suspected of having autism spectrum disorder, CE Report quotes FENA.
The protocol consists of structured activities and tasks tailored to the age and level of speech development of the individual being assessed, the Sunce Association explained.
According to the association, the training was held at the Slap publishing house in Zagreb. The lecturers were Associate Professor Sanja Šimleša and Professor Maja Cepanec.
