Czech Republic to extradite far-right extremist to Germany
The Czech Republic will extradite far-right extremist Marla Svenja Liebich to Germany, following a ruling by the Prague High Regional Court.
Czech authorities are expected to begin the extradition process within the next ten days, transferring Liebich to Germany, where she is due to serve a prison sentence in the state of Saxony-Anhalt, according to the German news agency dpa, CE Report quotes STA.
Liebich had been sought by German authorities to serve her sentence, and the Czech court's decision clears the way for her return. The extradition will be carried out under judicial cooperation mechanisms between the two neighboring European Union member states.
The case has drawn attention in both countries because of Liebich's involvement in far-right extremist activities. German authorities have continued to pursue legal action against individuals convicted of crimes linked to extremist movements, reflecting ongoing efforts to combat political extremism and uphold the rule of law.
