North Macedonia, Türkiye to deepen cooperation with stronger momentum
In the coming period, relations between our country and Türkiye will continue to develop with even stronger momentum, Prime Minister of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski wrote on social media after a bilateral meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to him, the meeting confirmed the traditionally close, friendly, and strategic cooperation between the two countries, CE Report informs via Mickoski's official Facebook account.
“The meeting expressed mutual satisfaction with the excellent political relations, which are based on mutual respect, trust, and sincere friendship between the two peoples. We discussed opportunities for further deepening economic cooperation, increasing trade exchange, new investments, as well as improving cooperation in infrastructure, energy, tourism, education, and defense,” the statement by Mickoski reads.
The Prime Minister noted that he emphasized the importance of Türkiye as a significant economic and political partner, stressing that the government remains committed to creating a favorable and predictable business environment for new Turkish investments and the creation of new jobs.
President Erdoğan confirmed Türkiye’s support for the development and prosperity of North Macedonia, as well as readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations in all areas of mutual interest. During the talks, views were also exchanged on current regional and international challenges, with emphasis placed on the need for stability, cooperation, and economic development in the region.
“We express confidence that relations between the two friendly countries will continue to develop with even stronger momentum in the period ahead,” the statement added.
