The Metropolitan See of Bessarabia and the Embassy of Romania have donated spiritual and Romanian literature books to Penitentiary No. 9 – Pruncul in Chisinau as part of a winter holiday initiative, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Father Hiero-deacon Gurie Dumbrava delivered a congratulatory message on behalf of the Metropolitan, expressing gratitude to the penitentiary staff for their efforts in inmate rehabilitation. Marc Emilian Morar, Minister Counselor of Romania’s Embassy in Moldova, emphasized the importance of fostering Romanian culture and spirituality in contexts where they inspire hope and unity, strengthening ties between Romanian communities across the Prut River.
