Chelenkov to Continue with Beroe for New Season

Basketball club Beroe (Stara Zagora) has renewed the contract of Kristian Chelenkov, the club announced on its official Facebook page, CE Report quotes BTA.

“Kris, we wish you health, luck, and many victories in the green-and-white jersey!” Beroe wrote.

The center joined Stara Zagora a year ago and has played in 14 games in the Sesame National Basketball League (NBL). He has also been part of the youth team of Akademik Bultex 99 and has played for Lokomotiv (Sofia), Balkan (Botevgrad), and CSKA. Chelenkov is a youth national player of Bulgaria and has gone through all the national selections of the country.

Earlier this week, Beroe’s men’s basketball team began preparation for the new season with another new signing. Head coach Daniel Klechkov said the team will compete for a top 4 finish in the championship.
