Lewis Hamilton is ready, and his Ferrari team is "fully focused" ahead of this weekend’s Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1, CE Report quotes BTA.

In Hungary, Hamilton had expressed some doubt about racing at Zandvoort, saying only that he "hoped" to return for the first race after the summer break, according to the DPA agency.

The 40-year-old driver described himself as "absolutely useless" and hinted that Ferrari had the right to replace him after he started and finished 12th in the previous round on August 3. Meanwhile, teammate Charles Leclerc finished 4th in the other Ferrari.

Hamilton currently trails Leclerc by 42 points in the season standings, having been outperformed by him 10 times, beaten him in just 2 races, and is still waiting for his first podium with Ferrari.

“We’re back on track after the summer break, which gave the team and drivers a chance to recharge and prepare for a very demanding final part of the season," said Ferrari team principal Frédéric Vasseur in a press release.

"In the Netherlands, we want to maintain the positive momentum we’ve built over the past few races, where we’ve made progress in terms of competitiveness. Charles and Lewis are ready, and the team is fully focused and determined to give them the best possible conditions to achieve strong results,” he added.
