Venice Film Festival: George Clooney Sidelined by Sinus Infection
George Clooney, a superstar attending the Venice Film Festival, has pulled out of the press conference for Noah Baumbach’s film Jay Kelly, which is in competition at the festival, CE Report quotes ANSA.
The actor has been in Venice since the day before yesterday to present the film but did not attend the scheduled press event.
The moderator of the session explained, “As you may know, George Clooney is unfortunately not here due to a severe sinus infection. He is very sorry and hopes to still attend the red carpet event after 9 PM.”
Director Noah Baumbach made light of the situation, saying, “Even the biggest stars get sick sometimes.”
