New U.S. Chargé d'Affaires in Moldova

Nick Pietrowicz has been appointed Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Chisinau, replacing Kevin Covert, who is returning to the United States after serving since July 14, 2025, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

A special agent of the Diplomatic Security Service, Pietrowicz previously served in Chisinau from 2008 to 2011 and has held posts in cities including Kabul, Canberra, and Sarajevo. He holds degrees from the University of Pittsburgh and Temple University School of Law and speaks several languages, including Romanian.
