Moldova, UAE to End Visa Requirements from September 5

Starting September 5, 2025, Moldovan citizens will be able to travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) without a visa. The decision was announced during an official visit to Abu Dhabi by Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi, who met with his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

The visit marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, agriculture, infrastructure, and IT.

Popșoi thanked the UAE for supporting visa liberalization and highlighted its importance for boosting tourism and mobility. Both sides also expressed interest in launching a direct flight route between Chișinău and the UAE to further enhance economic and cultural ties.
