
Prime Minister Dorin Recean Marks 34th Anniversary of National Police
Prime Minister Dorin Recean attended an event celebrating the 34th anniversary of the National Police. During the ceremony, he expressed gratitude for the dedication of police officers and awarded Honorary Diplomas as recognition for their exemplary service, according to the government’s communication department, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES
The prime minister highlighted the police's swift response in various situations, including aiding communities affected by natural disasters, maintaining public order, and combating organized crime. He also honored the officers' sacrifices in defending Moldova’s independence and sovereignty.
“It is vital to balance ensuring public order with respecting citizens’ rights. We serve society, and our actions must reflect this commitment. You are our partners in this mission, and I assure you of the government’s full support,” said Recean.
Recean noted growing public trust in the police, citing statistics showing a decline in offenses during the first nine months of 2023 compared to the previous year. Looking ahead, he outlined priorities for 2025, including combating crime, dismantling criminal networks, enhancing road safety, and protecting citizens.
