Jeremy Clarkson, the star of "Top Gear," has announced that he is officially in remission after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The news comes less than a week after the final episodes of the fifth season of "Clarkson's Farm," filmed in 2025, revealed that he had been battling an "aggressive" form of the disease, The Guardian reported on Monday, CE Report quotes AGERPRES.

"I am undoubtedly, officially, the luckiest man in the world," the former "Top Gear" presenter told The Sunday Times.

Clarkson said that a PSA (prostate-specific antigen) test he took two months ago showed no signs of cancer. "It was an aggressive type of cancer. It could have spread, it could have reached the pancreas, it could have gone anywhere, and that would have meant serious trouble," he said.

The 66-year-old television personality posted two videos on Instagram over the weekend, confirming that the sixth season of "Clarkson's Farm" is currently in production and joking that "the more observant among you will have noticed that I'm not dead."

"Not only am I not dead, but I feel very well," he told followers. "The reason I feel well is that doctors detected my prostate cancer at an early stage, and they found it because I got tested."

Clarkson used the opportunity to encourage others to undergo screening, noting that the procedure now involves "just a blood test."

He also told The Times that he will continue regular blood tests to monitor his health and is aware that the cancer could return.

"I'm trying to be optimistic. I've decided to be one of the 60% who don't have a recurrence," he said.

In the final two episodes of the fifth season of "Clarkson's Farm," Clarkson revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove 10% of his prostate, eight months after heart surgery for blocked coronary arteries.

"Ten percent of my prostate is gone," he said on the show.

Shortly after the episodes aired, the charity Prostate Cancer UK said that Clarkson's diagnosis and treatment would help raise vital awareness about the disease.

Clarkson hosted "Top Gear" alongside Richard Hammond and James May for nearly two decades. The popular BBC motoring show aired 240 episodes between 2002 and 2022.

In "Clarkson's Farm," which premiered on Prime Video in 2021, Clarkson attempts to run a countryside farm despite having no previous farming experience.
