Anya Taylor-Joy joins cast of "The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum"
Anya Taylor-Joy has joined the cast of the film The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum by New Line and Warner Bros. Pictures.
The film is directed by Andy Serkis, who also returns in the role of Gollum, alongside Ian McKellen (Gandalf), Elijah Wood (Frodo), and Lee Pace (King Thranduil), CE Report quotes ANA-MPA.
The Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee will join a star-studded new cast that also includes Kate Winslet (Marigol), Jamie Dornan (Strider), and Leo Woodall (Halvard).
She will play Seren, an elf described as “the trusted and deadly agent of King Thranduil.”
The screenplay is co-written by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, along with Phoebe Gittins and Arty Papageorgiou.
